Meriwether Lewis “The Botanist” depicts Lewis cataloging the Bitterroot flower at Traveler’s Rest on the return trip of the expedition from the Pacific Ocean.  This bronze has two delicate pink Bitterroot flowers in Lewis’ left hand.  There are numerous other Bitterroots in the bronze, many behind Lewis and the rock where he is perched.  Seaman rests underneath his feet.
